Rock Ptarmigan

According to our guide, this i a rock Ptarmigan. Not to be confused with a willow Ptarmigan. They tell them apart by the environment they are in. Standing in rocks, it must be a rock Ptarmigan. Two things to notice. First, the Ptarmigan's winter plumage is coming in. Notice the white feathers starting to show. In winter, they are a pure white. Also, notice in the lower right of the picture, behind the leaves. There are two more ptarmigan there.
