Willow Ptarmigan

As we continued down the road, we spotted a photographer working off the side of the road. Looking closely, we spotted this willow ptarmigan. We know it was a willow ptarmigan because it was sitting in a dead willow. Like the ptarmigan from yesterday, it is getting its winter plumage.
