Durango & Silverton Narrow Guage Railway Fall Photo Weekend

We stopped at Elk Park to allow two Silverton-bound trains to pass. The rain continued, but that just made for some beautiful, moody fall shots.

Photographers are a crazy bunch. The photo line set up, even in the rain. Anything for that one perfect picture.

A lot of rain came down and the Animas River was really high and fast. At one point, it threatened to wash out the rail bed. It made for a tense ride down to Durango.
